Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions performing physical labor.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • All candidates must complete and pass a DOT physical, company non-DOT physical, or a combination of both, which include bloodwork, lift test, pulmonary function test (PFT), audiogram, and a company drug screen.
  • Must have a minimum of Class D driver’s license.
  • No OMVI/DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions within the past 2 years.
  • No license suspensions or major violations in the past 3 years.
  • No more than 2 speeding tickets or 4 total moving violations in the past 3 years.
  • Willingness to comply with all company and client safety and operational policies.
  • Physically capable of instituting safety practices without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves and/or co-workers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous outdoor labor, driving, transportation, or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing industrial maintenance cleaning work, including vacuuming industrial wastes/materials (solids, sludges and liquids) and hydro-blast cleaning various surfaces.
  • Pre-tripping company vehicle as assigned for the day and keeping the vehicle clean and fueled.
  • Taking part of the job walkdown, safety briefings, orientation and assist in the set-up of the job.
  • Breaking up various types of deposits using hydro-blasting equipment.
  • Removal of deposits using high-suction industrial vacuum hoses, as well as manual shoveling.
  • Wearing respiratory protection including self-contained breathing apparatuses (SAR/SCBA’s) and maintaining no more than a day’s facial hair growth.
  • Performing other types of industrial cleaning such as sandblasting, cryogenics blasting and chemical cleaning.
  • Assisting in the establishment/implementation of safety practices on a job basis.
  • Complying with all aspects of client & company policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with the client and other employees and management.
