About The Position

This role involves working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, performing tasks such as vacuuming waste, water blasting machines and areas, and cleaning lines and pipes. The position requires operating various equipment, communicating effectively with supervisors and customers, and adhering to strict safety guidelines. It may involve working in challenging conditions, including confined spaces and extreme temperatures, and requires the ability to meet specific physical demands.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to possess a CDL license depending on local, state, and site requirements.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
  • Must maintain a consistent and good attendance record in accordance with Company policy.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 to 3 years of industrial cleaning experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Vacuum waste and spilled product.
  • Water blast clean machines and areas.
  • Lance clean lines and pipes, handling up to 10,000 psi water pressure.
  • Provide sanitation and cleaning assistance, including shoveling, snow removal, pesticide application, and general area clean up.
  • Assist in formulating standards and work procedures, and provide feedback on service delivery discrepancies.
  • Operate skid loaders, scissors lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts, RTFL, and hand/power tools.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor and customer to accomplish tasks and develop customer relations.
  • Adhere to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Work from elevated areas using fall protection equipment when required.
  • Work in confined spaces, wearing necessary PPE such as respirators, fall protection equipment, special blast suits, boots, and gloves.
  • Work in awkward positions for long periods, stand for long periods, walk long distances, and climb excessive stairs.
  • Maintain communication with supervisor regarding work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
  • Evaluate a site for safety hazards and communicate with supervisor if the area is unsafe.
  • Maintain and communicate using a company radio.
  • Maintain a consistent and good attendance record.
  • Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
  • Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations and participate in employee development planning.
  • Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and timely, including time sheets and work orders.
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
