About The Position
The Water Aerobics Instructor leads engaging water exercise classes, instructing participants in proper form and technique to promote fitness in a fun and supportive environment. The position is part-time and is based at the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA in St. Petersburg, Florida. Pay is $22.00–$25.00 per class, based on experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to work evenings and Mondays.
- Current certification in aerobics and/or water aerobics, or prior experience leading water aerobics classes.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives.
- Ability to build rapport and inspire others.
- Commitment to upholding the YMCA's core values.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen.
- Must clear a Level 2 background check through DCF (Florida).
Nice To Haves
- CPR/AED/Oxygen Administration certification preferred.
