About The Position

The Wastewater Treatment Technician treats bulk hazardous and non-hazardous wastewater in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective ESOL policies, practices, and procedures. The role requires accurate recordkeeping, attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and the ability to work independently after receiving proper training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience working with wastewater treatment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste and wastewater treatment.

Responsibilities

• Process and treat hazardous and non-hazardous wastewater using various reagents.
• Attach hoses to tanker trucks and load and unload materials from tanker trucks.
• Conduct tanker washouts as needed.
• Operate filtration systems, including filter presses, drum vacuum presses, and various pumps.
• Maintain daily records, logs, and data, and track information in the WNS program.
• Perform general housekeeping and cleanup, including daily inspections of tanks and tankers.
• Manage equipment and perform minor pump maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Perform related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by the supervisor.
