The Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and daily management of Clallam County’s wastewater treatment plants and collection systems serving Clallam Bay and Sekiu. Serving as the Operator-in-Charge, this position plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of wastewater treatment personnel while ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of treatment facilities in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as County policies. The Supervisor exercises independent judgment in operational planning, employee supervision, maintenance priorities, emergency response, and regulatory compliance, while providing leadership to support effective service delivery and environmental stewardship. Working closely with the Utility Program Manager, the incumbent also contributes to budget planning, resource management, and the continuous improvement of wastewater treatment operations to protect public health and the environment.
