About The Position

SWD Inc. is seeking diligent and attentive individuals to fill the role of Waste Treatment Operator for their 2nd/3rd shift. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational excellence of the company's waste treatment processes and conducting salt spray testing. SWD Inc. is a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, with over 250 employees operating in a 250,000 sq. ft. facility west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois. SWD is a Drug-Free workplace, and all job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical.

Requirements

At least one year of relevant experience is desirable.
Class K license or the commitment to obtain it within one year of joining.
Physical capability to lift up to 40lbs.
Availability to work weekends is a must.

Nice To Haves

Strong computer proficiency is preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the operation control panel, ensuring all systems function correctly and efficiently.
Conduct regular calibration of PH Meters and maintenance of probes.
Oversee tank levels and maintain communication with the metal finishing department.
Diligently document operations and maintain logs at regular intervals.
Perform physical checks of the neutralization reactor and clarifier, ensuring optimal performance.
Manage waste treatment processes, including the operation of the oil skimmer and proper handling of waste materials.
Uphold general housekeeping standards and adhere to scheduled preventative maintenance routines.
Conduct titrations of process chemistry and coating weight analysis, with the ability to prepare black oxide batches.
