Woodard & Curran is seeking a Wastewater Operator or Operator Trainee to join their team at the Provincetown Wastewater Treatment Facility. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Massachusetts "Full" Municipal Wastewater Treatment Operator License within one year of hire (Operator-in-Training licenses are welcome)
  • Ability to obtain a Massachusetts 1B Hoisting License
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely access tanks, manholes, and other confined spaces in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to successfully complete a DOT background check, DOT physical, and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of wastewater treatment operations experience
  • Experience with wastewater collection systems
  • Basic mechanical maintenance skills, including pumps and valves
  • Technical or vocational training in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring treatment process equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance on plant systems and equipment
  • Conducting laboratory testing and sampling activities
  • Supporting collection system operations
  • Maintaining facility grounds and overall plant appearance
  • Responding to operational issues and helping ensure regulatory compliance
