About The Position

Clemens Food Group is seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Manager to lead the daily operations, regulatory compliance, and team performance of our wastewater treatment plant. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local wastewater regulations, including NPDES permit requirements and municipal discharge standards. Due to the critical nature of this operation, this position requires 24/7 on-call leadership availability. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership capability. You must be confident making operational decisions related to chemical dosing, staffing, equipment adjustments, and process control. Requirements

  • 7+ years of wastewater treatment experience
  • Experience managing a municipal wastewater plant or industrial wastewater facility
  • Strong understanding of wastewater chemistry, system balances, and biological treatment processes
  • Experience with environmental compliance, inspections, and reporting (DMR experience preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily wastewater plant operations across 3 shifts
  • Ensure compliance with NPDES permits, environmental regulations, and audit requirements
  • Manage discharge quality to meet municipal authority and USDA standards
  • Optimize chemical usage and treatment processes
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 12 wastewater operators and supervisors
  • Drive accountability, performance improvement, and cross-shift communication
  • Serve as on-call leader for wastewater operations
