Wastewater Treatment Engineer
About The Position
Multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join their Oklahoma City team as a subject matter expert! This role involves advising internal and external teams on all wastewater treatment issues, providing firm-wide direction, internal consultation, and services to clients. The engineer will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, prepare/review compliance documentation, and maintain a reputation as a technical expert through writing papers, giving presentations, and representing the firm in professional societies. Responsibilities also include producing quality work, maintaining QC standards, researching wastewater-related data and emerging technologies, building client relationships, and leading/managing water/wastewater treatment projects from design through implementation, including preparing project plans, budgets, and schedules, and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 10+ years of water/wastewater processing engineering experience
- PE License
- Strong technical background/experience in wastewater treatment, wastewater modeling, and regulatory compliance
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in chemical, civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering preferred
Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Mentor/train junior staff
