About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Supervisor to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing operations and processing of waste at the Baton Rouge facility. This person will oversee 5-7 employees and help contribute towards successful waste handling at this facility. Pay: $28-34/HR- DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm; OT and weekends as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Supervisor experience is required
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Time management is required
  • Computer proficiency is required
  • Previous industrial work setting is required

Nice To Haves

  • Wastewater treatment experience preferred or experience in an industrial hazardous waste facility overseeing teams

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
  • Holds employees accountable
  • Ensure, understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards
  • Develop daily production goals for multiple groups and ensures execution
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment
  • Review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and scores satisfactorily on quizzes
  • Understand and drive Clean Compliance standard
  • Perform multiple site-specific plant operations such as, drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck offloading/loading in compliance with DOT segregation requirements, wastewater treatment, fuels blending, Shredder operations, Inventory and Waste Tracking scanning application, and Proper warehousing requirements
  • Oversee and manage multiple areas and shifts within the facility
  • Supervise and develops multiple Operations Supervisors, Plant Foremen and plant operations
  • Ensure proper waste routing and management according to specified efficiencies
  • All other duties as directed by management
