About The Position

The Wastewater Supervisor controls water flows and processes through plant and biological equipment/systems. Performs tests, maintenance, etc. to ensure proper operation of all wastewater related equipment. Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Minimum of class D wastewater operators certification.
Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience with wastewater systems.

Nice To Haves

Self-starter; self-motivated.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Good with math, computer, and oral communication skills.
Must be willing to obtain wastewater certifications and update as necessary.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in wastewater operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation of the entire wastewater and air scrubber systems.
Manages performance of individuals to ensure that procedures are being held to highest standards.
Monitor chemical inventory and usage throughout wastewater treatment processes and order as needed.
Perform monthly stormwater inspection.
Perform monthly chemical inventory.
Ensure compliance sampling schedule is followed.
Oversee land application and ensure operators are following guidelines/procedures.
Assists maintenance with projects or work in area of responsibility.
Complete all records and testing required by the EPA, State and Darling Ingredients.
Enter data into spreadsheets and compliance tracker.
Cover shift when operators are absent.
Ensure compliance with all Public Potable Water system requirements.
All other duties as assigned.
