About The Position

Performs various activities and maintenance tasks related to the Parish’s wastewater systems; maintains wastewater collection lines and lift stations; repairs inspection holes, access covers, and collection system pipes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license and driving record acceptable to Parish’s Risk Manager
• Must attain at least a Wastewater Collections Class I Operator’s Certification through the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) within eighteen (18) months of appointment to position
• Progress must be made toward completion of higher classifications of LDH certification in Wastewater Collections when experience requirements of LDH are met
• Required licenses and certifications must be kept current during employment with the Parish, including maintaining LDH certification requirements

Nice To Haves

• One year of utility maintenance experience desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience
