Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Engineer for our Manchester, NH office. As part of our wastewater team, this position will be involved with a wide variety of wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on treatment process design and construction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering
  • PE license
  • 5-10 years of experience in the field of wastewater-related infrastructure, including project engineering/management (planning, design, and construction)
  • Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
  • Experience in successfully delivering support to projects spanning multiple years, on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of technical treatment strategies, selection of treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects
  • Assist with client coordination and collaboration
  • Work on interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs
  • Coordinate with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery
  • Support preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Participate in fieldwork and perform site visits from planning through construction that may be required, with occasional travel if needed
