About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the wastewater treatment area, ensuring equipment is operational through breakdown and cleaning. The operator will treat water to comply with state and city regulations, perform general cleaning of the wastewater area, and handle other duties as assigned. This includes moving filled meat, feather, and sludge tankers, assisting maintenance with tasks, and performing simple maintenance like checking drive belts and gearbox oil levels. Accurate completion of all job-related paperwork is also required. The position necessitates adherence to corporate safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous chemicals. All other requirements as directed by Waste Water/ Environmental Management will apply. This is an EOE position, including disability/vets.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Break down and clean equipment to ensure readiness for operation.
• Clean the entire wastewater area as needed.
• Treat water to meet state and city regulations.
• Move filled meat, feather, and sludge tankers.
• Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Perform simple maintenance tasks such as checking and replacing drive belts and checking gearbox oil levels.
• Fill out all necessary paperwork for assigned jobs.
• Properly wear PPE when handling all hazardous chemicals.
• Follow corporate safety guidelines.
