We are seeking a experienced Licensed Wastewater Operators to support the operation and maintenance of municipal wastewater treatment facilities. This role is ideal for a reliable operator who is confident working independently, understands plant operations, and can effectively troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of water/wastewater operations experience
  • Active Georgia Wastewater Operator License (appropriate to facility classification)
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
  • Working knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and plant operations
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, pumps, motors, and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to follow operating procedures, manuals, and safety protocols
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry, reporting)
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot efficiently, and escalate when necessary
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Flexible and dependable with changing priorities and schedules

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, motors, belt presses, and disinfection systems
  • Conduct routine sampling, testing, and system monitoring to ensure proper plant performance
  • Accurately document operational data, including flows, chemical usage, and maintenance activities
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving treatment equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Respond to after-hours callouts and emergency situations as required
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and security standards
  • Communicate with clients and customers on routine operational matters
  • Coordinate and support maintenance activities at the facility
