About The Position

The position of MS-WWTO may be required to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: operation of wastewater analysis laboratory; operation and maintenance of wastewater collection system; operation and maintenance of wastewater pre-treatment system; operation and maintenance of wastewater full treatment system or operation and maintenance of any other type of water or wastewater treatment system. Activities may include but are not limited to: collecting samples for analysis in accordance with EPA state and or health departments regulations; performing a variety of chemical analysis both in and out of a laboratory setting ; making system adjustments based on interpretation of results from chemical analysis; making educated decisions on maintaining regulatory compliance; performing mathematical calculations utilizing basic algebraic formulas and a calculator; completing computerized reports; compiling information and correctly completing monthly reports as required by permits state authority EPA or corporate management; utilization of basic organizational skills basic mechanical skills basic electrical wiring skills; proper communication of current operational status to upper management; maintaining operations logs; performing minor to major maintenance on equipment; operation of a spotter tuck and or a fork lift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 plus years Wastewater experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical
  • Must successfully complete a storm water training program selected by site management within thirty days
  • Candidates must also successfully complete Industrial Waste Treatment Volume I and Industrial Waste Treatment Volume II correspondence courses through California State University Sacramento within twelve months
  • Must obtain lowest grade certification program within twelve months or in accordance with State regulations
  • Physically lifting of heavy objects 50-75 pounds climbing and or descending stairs or ladders

  • Obtaining maintaining HAZ-MAT training
