About The Position

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator to join their team at the Cohasset Wastewater Treatment Facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, outdoor environments, and contributing to environmental protection as part of a team. As a member of the Operations & Maintenance team, the Wastewater Operator will be crucial in ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Requirements

  • Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator License
  • At least two years of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or trade school certification
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, laboratory procedures, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Conducting daily plant inspections and operational rounds
  • Monitoring treatment processes and performing process control adjustments
  • Collecting samples and performing laboratory testing and analysis
  • Maintaining accurate operational records and reports
  • Assisting with sludge thickening operations
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
  • Supporting facility, grounds, and collection system maintenance
  • Following all safety procedures and environmental regulations
  • Responding to operational issues and emergency situations as needed
