About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater system in accordance with all safety requirements, state permits, and company standards. The operator will perform daily operational tasks, conduct inspections, manage waste flows, and communicate any equipment malfunctions or failures to the Chief Operator and management. This position requires adherence to all safety and environmental regulations to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.

Requirements

  • State of Vermont Pollution Facility Operator Certification (Grade 1IM) at minimum
  • Follow all safety requirements and standards
  • Adhere to all requirements of Vermont Waste Discharge Permit
  • Adhere to all cooperate requirements for waste water discharge
  • Conduct inspections on equipment
  • Balance waste flows for optimum performance
  • Follow direction of Chief Operator
  • Perform all necessary operational requirements for the waste water system (non-licensed duties included)
  • Communicate malfunctions and failures to Chief Operator and management
  • Manage solution transfers and waste disposal
