About The Position

The Wastewater Operator - D Shift (Nights) role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection, pre-treatment, and full treatment systems. This includes performing laboratory analysis, collecting samples, making system adjustments based on chemical analysis results, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves completing computerized reports, maintaining logs, performing equipment maintenance, and operating a spotter truck and/or forklift. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience required
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical
  • Candidates must also successfully complete and obtain the lowest-grade certification program within 12 months, or in accordance with State regulations
  • Candidates must also obtain the second-highest grade certification through the state certification program or another entity within twenty-four months of completing the initial requirements, or in accordance with State regulations
  • Physically lifting of heavy objects 30 pounds
  • Climbing and or descending stairs or ladders
  • Grounds keeping
  • Painting

  • Working in unsanitary conditions
  • Working with hazardous chemicals
  • Must reside in the US, this role does not offer sponsorship
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in food manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience in maintenance, wastewater operations, or a laboratory environment

Responsibilities

  • Operation of wastewater analysis laboratory
  • Operation and maintenance of wastewater collection system
  • Operation and maintenance of wastewater pre-treatment system
  • Operation and maintenance of wastewater full treatment system or operation and maintenance of any other type of water or wastewater treatment system
  • Collecting samples for analysis in accordance with EPA state and or health departments regulations
  • Performing a variety of chemical analysis both in and out of a laboratory setting
  • Making system adjustments based on interpretation of results from chemical analysis
  • Making educated decisions on maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Performing mathematical calculations utilizing basic algebraic formulas and a calculator
  • Completing computerized reports
  • Compiling information and correctly completing monthly reports as required by permits state authority EPA or corporate management
  • Utilization of basic organizational skills basic mechanical skills basic electrical wiring skills
  • Proper communication of current operational status to upper management
  • Maintaining operations logs
  • Performing minor to major maintenance on equipment
  • Operation of a spotter tuck and or a forklift
