About The Position

H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class IV) to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi.

Requirements

Active Level IV Wastewater Operator License (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations
Experience in municipal wastewater plant operations
Ability to monitor and adjust plant processes and systems
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Leadership ability and experience supporting a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

Oversee and operate wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
Monitor plant operations and make adjustments as needed
Analyze lab and operational data to maintain treatment performance
Troubleshoot process, mechanical, and equipment issues
Coordinate and support maintenance of plant equipment
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation
Lead and support lower-level operators
Respond to alarms, upsets, and emergency situations
Assist with inspections, audits, and regulatory coordination
Enforce safety procedures and company standards
