This role involves monitoring wastewater discharges to ensure they meet specified parameters such as pH and EC, covering both pumping and final discharge points. The technician will be responsible for maintaining materials and supplies for water/waste treatment areas, overseeing all wastewater discharge system operations, and ensuring water quality monitoring equipment is calibrated and in good working order. The position also includes conducting and documenting environmental inspections, demonstrating safe work behavior, reading and following operating instructions, recording data, and using required safety equipment. The role requires good leadership, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the skill to read and adjust instruments, valves, and pumps. Responsibilities also include transporting drums, operating a forklift, operating various types of pumps (Centrifugal, Positive Displacement, Air Operated Diaphragm, and Gear), and performing general housekeeping and organization of work areas, including sweeping, trash removal, water-blasting, painting, and cleaning equipment. Other duties as assigned.
