Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, and 2 years’ experience in Wastewater
  • Ability to safely wear respiratory protective equipment for extended periods while performing assigned job duties.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to call-outs as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and complete production records
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, established procedures, work rules, and company standards.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Operates DCS console to control plant process equipment, filter press, belt press while making the necessary equipment adjustments to manual valves, pumps, and etc. including monitoring treatment process per instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Responds to process changes, alarms, sample results and equipment observations to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory limits and requirements.
  • Collection of samples both for internal analysis and for transfer to outside laboratories for regulatory compliance monitoring.
  • Collect and record process data and maintain log, reading sheets, and electronic records.
  • Analysis and perform documented in-house laboratory test for regulatory sampling and internal process samples using established test procedures.
  • Operates forklifts in unloading, loading, and handling of tote tanks of polymer, drums of antifoam and other materials.
  • Responsible for the safety of self, teammates, and immediate surroundings.
  • Unloads treatment chemicals including sodium bisulfite, hydrochloric acid, caustic, and hydrogen peroxide from tank trucks.
  • Operate equipment per daily instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for housekeeping duties, and other duties / assignments as directed by supervisor.
