About The Position

This role involves performing operational maintenance on all water treatment systems, monitoring the wastewater treatment plant, and identifying necessary adjustments and potential problems. The operator will perform chemical analysis of water samples, clean drain pads, and operate a computer to monitor pump stations, plant operations, and alarms. Daily records and shift logs of plant operations must be maintained, and readings from meters, computers, and instruments reviewed. The position also includes operating a wastewater truck (yard jockey), overseeing the operation of pre-treatment equipment, and ensuring the proper operation of rendering and Offal equipment. Cross-training and learning all tasks in the department are expected, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must pass waste water truck driving test.
Must be willing to learn all jobs in assigned area.
Good communication skills
Good attendance (Less than 4 Points)
Must have good basic math skills
Able to work without or little supervision.
NO disciplinary write-ups in last 6 months.
Skilled in oral and written communication
Bio 1 Certification or be able to pass the class.

Nice To Haves

High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.

Responsibilities

Yard jockey - drives wastewater truck.
Oversees the operation of per-treatment equipment.
Ensure the Proper operation of rendering and Offal equipment.
Be willing to cross train and learn all tasks in department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
