About The Position

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring clean and orderly conditions are maintained in production areas. This role operates industrial forklifts to transport waste materials within the plant, operates industrial waste compactors, and performs equipment inspections. The position also involves emptying and maintaining industrial hoppers, coordinating waste pick-ups with supervisors and contractors, and picking up reusable scrap for salvage. Additionally, the role requires maintaining cleanliness through wiping, power washing, brushing, sweeping, and shoveling debris, and applying 5S principles to assigned areas for organization, cleanliness, and safety. Adherence to all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety is mandatory.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year driving a fork-lift truck is required.
Must be able to become forklift certified within our environment.
Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English to convey information effectively so others will understand.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow all safety instructions.
Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.

Responsibilities

Operates industrial fork-lift to transport waste materials within plant.
Operates industrial waste compactors and performs equipment inspection.
Empties and maintains all industrial hoppers in facility.
Coordinates with supervisor and or contractors to schedule all waste pick-ups.
Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
Wipes and or power washes operating equipment.
Brushes, sweeps and or shovel debris around work areas as needed.
Apply principles of 5S to assigned areas so everything is organized, clean, and safe.
Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
