Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for hourly production team member positions in our Columbia, South Carolina manufacturing facility. As an hourly production team member, you will need to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
Excellent Time Management, attention to detail, ability to interact with other employees
Ability to work efficiently and able to work diligently
Must be Forklift Certified with 3 to 5 years’ experience

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of waste fiber disposal and manage the basement hoppers.
Ensure that the Waste Hoppers are emptied in the basement in a timely manner.
Must be able to accomplish all the assigned Key Tasks and Responsibilities while maintaining a high level of integrity.
Manage the waste disposal of the basement hoppers, ensuring that the waste hoppers are emptied in a timely manner, ensuring that the hoppers are not left overflowing.
Inspect the forklift and record inspection daily. Do not operate the forklift that is unsafe and replace the propane tank when necessary.
Comply with all forklift safety protocols, ensuring no damage to property like walls and hoppers.
Maintain the cleanliness of the basement, by picking up waste glass and tubes and placing them in hoppers, cleaning out wastewater trenches, and pressure washing the walls and floor.
Maintain the cleanliness of the Waste pad, by picking up waste glass and other waste from the pad and placing them in the Waste management dumpsters. Sweeping and Pressure washing the waste glass pad on a cleaning frequency.
Complete daily inspection of the waste hoppers, placing broken hoppers aside for maintenance to repair and keeping the holes of the hoppers free of obstructions to keep water run off at a minimum.
Complete all other tasks assigned by the Forming Department Managers.
