About The Position

Operates equipment related to washing and loading glass. This is an ongoing opportunity, and applications are continuously accepted. The role involves removing glass from carts, placing it on a conveyor belt, and performing routine maintenance on the washing equipment. Employees may be required to work at different workstations and adapt to changing production needs. Cleaning of equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures is also a key part of the job.

Requirements

Ability to lift 50+lbs
Must wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times as deemed by management and policy
Ability to read basic instructions and safety information
Ability to print and speak simple sentences
Basic math skills required
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Frequently required to walk, talk, and hear
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another qualified person
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

Removes glass from A-Frame Cart or Rack
Sets glass on conveyor belt of washer
Picks up specific Lowe glass
Changes the water filters on the washer as needed
Flushes the water tanks at the end of each shift/day
Changes the air filters on the washer as needed
Tests the Lowe detector at the beginning of each shift
Delivers carts to Glass Washer
Ensures that equipment used is operable and maintained
May be required to work at different workstations as production needs require
Works in an environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced
Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures
Ensures to adhere to safety regulations
