About The Position
As the Wash Bay Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining company heavy equipment, trucks, pickups, trailers, and support equipment. You will help ensure equipment entering the maintenance shop is clean and ready for inspection, maintenance, and repair while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized wash bay.
Requirements
- No previous wash bay or heavy equipment experience required; willing to train the right candidate.
- Dependable with the ability to report to work consistently and on time.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working around large trucks and heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to safely operate pressure washers and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work in wet, dirty, hot, cold, and changing working conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

- Interest in heavy equipment, trucks, construction, or maintenance is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Wash and clean heavy construction equipment, trucks, pickups, trailers, and support equipment.
- Use pressure washers, steam cleaners, degreasers, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Remove mud, grease, oil, and debris from equipment before maintenance and repairs.
- Clean equipment cabs and vehicle interiors as needed.
- Keep the wash bay, floors, drains, hoses, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Properly maintain pressure washers and other wash bay equipment and report equipment problems when identified.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate when additional supplies are needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Assist with general shop, yard, and maintenance-related duties as needed.
- Move and stage company vehicles and equipment when trained and authorized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
