About The Position
Wash Bay Attendants are responsible for keeping C.H.I. fleet tractors and trailers clean and inspection-ready, reflecting the quality and professionalism C.H.I. brings to every customer interaction. This role is crucial for maintaining the appearance and readiness of the company's fleet. Safety is paramount in this position, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience in general labor
- Previous experience in trailer shop work or wash bays
- Valid CDL driver's license or equivalent experience operating tractors and trailers
Responsibilities
- Pick up daily work list at the start of each shift and work independently through assigned tractors and trailers
- Power up water heater, pressure washer, and prepare cleaning materials and wash bay area
- Couple, uncouple, and back trailers into the wash bay using a tractor
- Clean exterior of tractors and trailers using pressure washers, brushes, and approved cleaning agents
- Inspect the exterior of each unit during the wash process and report any damage or maintenance issues to the Wash Bay Team Lead
- Maintain wash bay equipment and area in clean, safe, and operational condition throughout the shift
- Perform all other duties as assigned
