About The Position

Valiant is looking for a WARSIM OPFOR Commander to join their team. This role involves assisting in training, coaching, and supervising personnel in the use of constructive simulations like WARSIM. The commander will be a proficient user and instructor on the WARSIM Battle Space Work Station (BSWS), familiar with Army Mission Command Systems, and will collaborate with scenario writers, database personnel, and Observer Controller Trainers (OCTs) to develop scenarios and support unit training events. The role also includes assisting the BLUFOR Maneuver Team with operational plans and supervising OPFOR Interactors.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Active Secret preferred.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• 3+ years in combat, combat support, combat service and support units or comparable experience with maneuver command and control simulation systems.
• Held a Leadership position at Company, Battalion or Brigade level.
• At least six months of experience executing constructive exercises at the Brigade Combat Team or higher.
• Familiar with BSWS maneuver operations.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Infantry combat arms experience.
• Former E-7 (or above) with ANCOC (or equivalent).
• Associate degree.
• Battle Staff, CTC OC experience.
• Joint Service Staff experience.
• Recent Combat experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Training, Coaching and Supervising Rotational Training Unit (RTU) personnel and newly assigned personnel in the use and execution of constructive simulations such as Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM).
• Be a proficient user and instructor on the WARSIM Battle Space Work Station (BSWS).
• Familiarity with Army Mission Command Systems and basic instruction on these systems.
• Work closely with Scenario Writers and Data Base personnel in order to develop scenarios, and system files used in support of Unit Training Events.
• Coordinate and work closely with JRTC Observer Controller Trainers (OCTs) in the execution of Unit Training Events.
• Assist the BLUFOR Maneuver Team in the development of unit operational plans using current doctrine and tactics.
• Supervise 5 OPFOR Interactors.
• Other duties as assigned.
