Primarily operating across the southwest, we are expanding into other regions. Job Purpose This position provides management oversight and coordination of the company’s warranty processes. The Warranty Manager receives and coordinates warranty claims initiated by clients, reviews contracts to determine scope of the warranty coverage, develops action plans for timely resolution of the claim and coordinates the process for each claim with employees of other divisions and subcontractors required to complete the work, as well as manage the efficient use of materials and equipment needed for timely resolution. Strong project management skills are required to ensure all specifications are being followed, and that work is proceeding with quality and in a timely manner. Experience in power utility, particularly electrical systems, is highly desired to be successful in the role.

Requirements

  • 2-years of management experience.
  • Computer Skills – Knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related construction software.
  • Contract Evaluation – Experience analyzing legal documents and identifying potential risks, scope of work and compliance requirements.
  • Public Safety and Security -- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Administration and Management -- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Management of Material Resources -- Obtaining and ensuring the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Monitoring -- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and consistently update warranty processes and procedures.
  • Receive, triage, and evaluate warranty claims and process them on an expedited schedule.
  • Review project contracts to ensure precise warranty coverage.
  • Schedule remedial work in logical steps and budget time required to perform work efficiently.
  • Work with other departments, as applicable, to address warranty claims.
  • Perform contract reviews with a focus on warranty.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
  • Implement corporate quality control programs on remedial work.
  • Track claim from initiation to completion utilizing Insight Pro software.
  • Perform warranty data evaluations to identify trends.
