About The Position

Provides operational support to Birkey's Parts and Service departments as it relates to warranty information and the warranty process.

Requirements

  • Individual should have an Associates degree or its equivalent.
  • Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions.
  • Must have the ability to maintain high degree of motivation in team members to retain focus of providing highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • The individual should have 1 - 2 years of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
  • Ability to get to and around the corporate office and store locations for various tasks.
  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
  • Ability to be on ones feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide direction to staff including the arranging of work schedules, resolving personnel issues, and acting as backup when necessary.
  • Maintain updated warranty manuals and materials and uses appropriate forms and supplies.
  • Provides direction to Service and Parts staff on proper completion of Warranty Repair orders including records and storage of warranty parts.
  • Submits warranty claims for repair orders in a timely manner.
  • Advise Service Manager and Parts Manager on proper procedures for obtaining warranty credits on work orders as requested.
  • Establish and monitor procedure for timely return of warranty parts to ensure appropriate credit, following up as necessary.
  • Maintain file copies of all warranty claims submitted and log sheets for all Birkey's store locations showing warranty claims entered, subsequent credits and record of parts returned.
  • Check the status of the warranty claims on a daily basis and follows up on the appeals.
  • Provides onsite training to location technicians and service staff.
  • Maintain and submit Labor rate change forms when necessary.
  • Supervises and provides direction to assigned staff.
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services and support of all staff.
  • Resolve customers concerns efficiently and effectively.
  • Promote a positive attitude at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Exhibit Birkey's high level of customer service on a daily basis.
  • Acknowledge appreciation of clients and customer.
