About The Position

First Quality is a family-owned company with over 35 years of history, growing into a group of companies employing over 5,000 team members. With corporate offices in New York and Pennsylvania and 8 manufacturing campuses across the U.S. and Canada, the companies within the First Quality group produce high-quality personal care and household products. This position is for a Warehouser at the First Quality Print & Packaging facility in Anderson, SC. The role is responsible for executing all warehouse functions consistently, ensuring the integrity of inventory and the housekeeping of the warehouse operation. The position involves working in various areas including inventory analysis, cycle counting, shipping/receiving, and railcars, as directed by the Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Ability to operate fork trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Fundamental knowledge of general warehouse procedures.
  • Fundamental computer knowledge and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Calculating accurate tallies and documentation during the loading and unloading process.
  • Ensuring all shipping and receiving and cycle count controls are executed in a consistent manner in compliance with policies and procedures, performing in a manner that allows for 100% quality compliance and customer satisfaction, and ensuring the most cost effective and service oriented performance.
  • Operating radio frequency equipment to conduct inventory control movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories.
  • Following necessary GMP, FDA, SQF, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
  • Observing safety rules and performing in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
  • Inspecting all equipment used on a daily basis and reporting defects to Management.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facilities.
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on all designated warehouse equipment.
  • Palletizing and storing product in accordance with warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Supporting production lines with material requests.
  • Assisting with conducting inventories when necessary.
  • Providing accurate and legible paperwork to maintain an accurate database.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all inventories daily.
  • Maintaining an efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation.
  • Assisting with repack and labeling operations when necessary.
  • Performing all other duties as required or directed, with or without accommodation.
  • Working well under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Conducting job in a manner which complies with the food safety program (SQF).
  • Reporting food safety problems immediately to supervisor or a QA team member.
  • Taking actions where appropriate.
