About The Position

Coast Electric is accepting applications for the position of Warehouseman for the Kiln Headquarters. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment. This position ensures materials are organized, accessible, and accounted for while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in compliance with OSHA and Coast Electric standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; high school diploma preferred
  • Must be able to acquire a Mississippi Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Ability to operate computer and warehouse related systems
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and purchase documents
  • Basic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and measurements)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn Rural Utilities Service (RUS) construction specifications and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) standards

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices
  • Accurately enter materials into inventory systems and maintain perpetual inventory records
  • Store, organize, and stock materials for easy accessibility
  • Pull and distribute materials based on work orders and job requirements
  • Load and unload materials, including transformers and poles, using forklift
  • Track and restock returned materials and maintenance supplies
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
  • Operate forklifts and maintain required log
  • Transport materials between district warehouses as needed
  • Assist with tracking and managing tools, safety equipment, and repairs
  • Support operations for CoastConnect, LLC (fiber subsidiary) by managing fiber materials
  • Assist with warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor
