About The Position
Industrial Distributor in South East Houston is looking for a Full Time Warehouseman. This position is responsible for handling warehouse inventory, shipping and receiving, loading company truck and acting as a back up driver, as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a great team player attitude
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse, picking, packing, or physical labor experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Receives, unpacks, examines and logs into system incoming shipments.
- Stocks inventory in the proper location.
- Organize and control inventory items.
- Prepares and routes merchandise for shipments.
- Assists in providing counter sales customer service.
- Operates a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Performs as Backup Driver as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow safety rules
