About The Position

The Warehouseman will serve as the primary person who will pull, prepare and load product for shipment as well put away incoming product in designated areas in the Prosser warehouse facility. Daily tasks will include but not be limited to: prepare product, print labels, placards, etc. for shipments; receive and put away incoming product in designated storage locations utilizing inventory scanning system and provide support for the upkeep of the scale house and various warehouse areas. This position will also help assist the Forklift General Labor with preparing product for shipment/storage as needed. This position will be responsible for keeping the Warehouse Lead and the Logistics Manager informed of all problems or matters concerning the prep of shipments, loading/unloading of product, housekeeping / GMP issues. This position could or may require the individual to work overtime as needed. Work is subject to indoor and / or outdoor climate conditions. Work is performed with a high degree of independence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Can effectively work with a high degree of independence
• Basic knowledge of a shipping & receiving/warehouse operation
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain and keep accurate records
• Ability to communicate effectively: orally, electronically and in written form
• Ability to follow instructions and organize work duties accordingly
• Ability to be flexible in work assignments and accept changes in duties and work assignments as needed and/or scheduled
• Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to perform shift work: days, swing, grave
• Extreme attention to detail
• Must be able to lift 0-75 lbs
• Must be forklift certified or, can obtain forklift certification under company direction

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks
• Prepares incoming product/supplies for storage in designated areas including high stacking
• Completes appropriate documentation for incoming product
• Picks, prepares & loads product/supplies for shipment
• Completes appropriate documentation for shipments
• Provide general upkeep of work area(s) by performing master sanitation work orders for the following areas: warehouse docks, scale house, storage areas & facility grounds
• Familiar with use of computer and printer: will be tasked with printing labels, pallet placards, etc.
• Accurately perform physical inventories of warehouse materials, supplies & stored product
• Perform under pressure & complete tasks in a timely manner
• Performs all job duties with concern for safety of oneself and others
• Must be forklift certified or, can obtain forklift certification under company direction
• Required to safely operate a forklift in < 0 ° F to >100 +° F climate conditions (indoors or outdoors)
• Can safely operate forklift in warehouse racking system
• Can safely lift 0-75 lbs
• All other duties as assigned
