About The Position
FET is looking for a motivated individual to join our Valve Warehouse team in Edmonton, AB. The Warehouse position assists with the receiving processes of products and materials from outside suppliers and other FET plants. Stocking received material as well as, completed products. This role participates in the cycle counting process, filling orders including picking, packing, verifying quantities, and shipping product as needed. Safe operation of Reach Trucks is required to load/unload carriers as well as, to stage and move product within the Warehouse. At times, this role will perform repetitive tasks following established company procedures, while working under indirect supervision. Decisions are reviewed/made with senior personnel. Attention to detail and intermediate computer skills are required. No One Get's Hurt is FET's #1 Core Value. Requirements
- Prior experience in a Warehouse or similar environment.
- Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, Typing).
- Able to change tasks or direction while maintaining organization.
- Ability to lift to 45lbs.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of ERP systems an asset.
- Forklift/Reach Truck Certification with prior experience preferred.
- Valve knowledge an asset.
Responsibilities
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing always required personal safety equipment.
- Parts pick / Verification for all customer orders.
- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Routes items to departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- May perform data entry of relevant shipping and/or receiving information into ERP system.
- Operates reach truck and/or forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment.
- Assist with cycle counting process as required.
- General housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
