About The Position
This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. The Warehouseman - Driver will be responsible for making deliveries to customers and picking up from vendors, receiving and stocking warehouse items, managing incoming shipments, and fulfilling sales orders. The position also requires maintaining a clean workspace and assisting with preparing materials for shipment.
Requirements
- High school education or GED.
- Good driving record.
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of shipping and warehousing.
- Ability to count, read and write numbers, and read packing slips.
- Attention to detail and ability to find and correct errors.
- Ability to take instruction, follow direction, and meet productivity standards.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Able to bend, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, using appropriate lifting techniques and tools.
Responsibilities
- Making deliveries to customers and picking up from vendors.
- Receiving purchase orders and uploading supporting documents.
- Communicating with buyers regarding purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensuring accuracy on incoming shipments.
- Stocking warehouse items.
- Identifying and sorting incoming freight and relocating it for sales orders or internal jobs.
- Communicating order readiness to maintenance groups.
- Maintaining a clean workspace and warehouse.
- Receiving material returning from internal jobs.
- Fulfilling sales orders for internal and external customers.
- Uploading supporting documents after order verification.
- Fulfilling internal SEC orders for upcoming jobs.
- Staging outgoing materials, including shrink wrapping and palletizing.
- Communicating inventory-related issues to the supervisor.
- Assisting with picking up and delivering parts to sites.
- Preparing material for shipment, including documenting serial numbers and quantities.
