About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for the loading of will call customers and the loading/unloading of steel, rebar and other construction materials for the Rio Grande Co. You will provide support for a wide variety of warehouse duties, while always maintaining a safe working environment. This position is non-supervisory role and reports to the Operations Manager. Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with a safe driving history
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1-year experience working in a warehouse, preferred
  • A minimum of 1-year experience driving a forklift, preferred
  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive/Load shipments, while verifying accuracy of materials
  • Move parts and materials with a forklift and by hand
  • Ability to assist customers, load delivery trucks and stock materials
  • Performance of various housekeeping tasks to ensure work areas are clean and free of safety hazards
  • Responsible for informing members of the leadership team of shortages, overages or damaged materials
  • Work cooperatively with fellow team members to accomplish warehouse/parts goals
  • All other duties assigned.
