About The Position

This position is located in the Warehouse department of a distribution center in Springfield. The role involves a variety of duties related to the receiving and shipping of goods, inventory management, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. The employee will report to the Warehouse Manager and is classified as Skilled/Non-Exempt. This is a full-time position with a variable shift and potential for overtime. The company operates under an "employment at will" policy.

Must be neat, clean, and have legible handwriting.
Must be punctual.
Must have good manual dexterity.
Must present a positive attitude toward co-workers and job.
Must do other work as assigned.

Responsibilities

Maintain records for receiving of ingredients and supplies, and for shipping of production on cheese, whey and other finished goods.
Verify trailer cleanliness and suitability for loading and unloading.
Operate dock doors and levelers.
Verify bills of lading and pick-up numbers.
Prepare loads for all departments per customer orders.
Operate and maintain a forklift.
Perform accurate monthly inventories.
Transfer ingredients and supplies as needed.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Comply with plant regulations concerning GMP's, safety rules, work rules, and loss control procedures.
Identify and address any food safety hazards and quality threats, notifying supervisors or management if necessary, and taking immediate action if able.
Attend all required safety and food safety training.
Clean cheese frames as needed.
Perform any and all duties as assigned by supervisor.
