About The Position

Master Halco, a leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and outdoor living products, is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Yard Operations Manager (WYOPM) for its local branch in Charleston. The WYOPM will directly manage operations roles within the branch, focusing on warehouse and yard operations and the associated team. This role is crucial for ensuring the branch operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards, policies, and goals. Two (2) plus years of experience in operations leadership.
Excellent Computer Skills: Outlook Email, Excel, Word, ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

Guide Branch associates and leaders, build effective teams, and serve as a resource and role model.
Provide excellent leadership, support, tools, and resources to ensure associates can excel.
Identify areas for improvement and coach, mentor, and train associates to proficiency.
Act as the safety program champion for the branch.
Lead technological advancements and continuous improvement projects.
Manage hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions for operational roles.
Serve as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Directly manage an operations team responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory management, fabrication, and customer service.
Ensure the branch provides an elevated level of customer service using “The Master Halco Way”.
Maintain clean, safe, and efficient facilities and equipment that meet company standards.
Act as the safety leader for the region, ensuring all safety standards and goals are met.
Ensure proper SOPs and Company policies are followed.
Identify and execute cost optimization and reduction strategies (e.g., overtime, trucking, material handling efficiency, process flow).
Identify, create, and/or implement continuous improvement projects.
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
Champion technological enhancements, such as RFID inventory management.
Perform hands-on operations tasks as needed.
Undertake special projects as assigned by the Branch Manager.
