Warehouse Worker - Contract (Afternoon Shift)
About The Position
Lordco Auto Parts is seeking a driven, hardworking individual for a full-time, 3-month contract position as a Warehouse Distribution Worker at their new state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Port Coquitlam. Lordco is Canada's biggest privately held automotive parts distributor and Western Canada's largest distributor and retailer of aftermarket parts and accessories, with over 85 store locations. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and offers the opportunity to start a career in customer service and grow with the company. The position could lead to a permanent role for high performers or opportunities on a callback list for future contract roles.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Open to flexible work schedules, including but not limited to overtime and weekend shifts
- Must be able to work full time
Nice To Haves
- WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack orders, as well as receive and put away inventory
- Diligently check stock for wear/damage and report faults and discrepancies
- Follow the procedure for preparing and packing special orders for our stores and customers
- Scan bar codes on products from totes to pallets and packages using a hand scanner
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyor systems, walkie talkies, and work with autonomous vehicles
- Practice caution when working around moving machines, such as order pickers, forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and mobile carts
- Use an online stock control system to perform specific tasks
- Perform general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and tidy
Benefits
- Wage is $18.45/hr
