About The Position
As a team member in one of Wegmans' warehouse facilities, you will be responsible for accurately selecting cases and building pallets for transport to store locations. This role is integral to the supply chain, ensuring stores have the necessary products to stock shelves and meet customer demand. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Love working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to work in and be exposed to various temperatures/environments (Ranging from -20 degrees F in frozen area, to 85 degrees F in the warehouse)
- Ability to lift 20–25 pounds, with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, scan, stack and place selected cases on pallets safely and efficiently; minimizing product damage, maximizing trailer space and assuring cold chain and quality standards are met
- Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; including but not limited to forklift, pallet jack, VoCollect headset and other computerized picking equipment and systems (training provided)
- Communicate effectively and timely with management and team in a fast-paced environment
