About The Position

The Warehouse Selector is responsible for accurately picking, preparing, and staging customer orders to support timely and efficient shipping operations. This role requires adherence to safety guidelines, operational best practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. The position involves operating warehouse equipment, performing cycle counts, and collaborating with team members to meet performance goals.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse and equipment‑operation experience is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 25kg to 55+ lbs. and perform repeated physical tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 26 feet (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and picking accuracy.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to work safely in accordance with company safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
  • RF scanner experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Bunzl standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and operational best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by encouraging safe practices and immediately report hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to all workplace Health & Safety (H&S) policies, including safe lifting techniques, proper PPE use, and equipment operation guidelines.
  • Complete cycle counts, activity walks, and empty-bin walks daily.
  • Meet established Bunzl operational performance metrics and productivity expectations.
  • Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets and warehouse management system (WMS) instructions.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including order pickers, reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and pallet jacks (training provided).
  • Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for local and out‑of‑town deliveries.
  • Ensure product accuracy, proper labeling, and safe pallet building.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe picking area.
  • Assist team members and support warehouse operations as directed by leadership.
  • Collaborate with team members to exceed daily performance goals.
