About The Position

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for various warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, putaway, replenishment, item demand, consolidation, count checks, and loading/unloading of trucks. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment and ensuring the accuracy and safety of warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Proficient in the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks such as stand-up reach truck or other industrial equipment (i.e., double pallet jack) preferred
  • Warehouse Management System (i.e., WMS-HighJump/PeopleSoft) experience preferred
  • Experience with RF or Voice devices preferred
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present reports and information
  • Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure
  • Capable of working with internal staff from other departments and shifts in a proactive and constructive manner
  • Ability to build working relationships with internal business partners, vendors and customers
  • Planning/Organization – Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities/deadlines and shift priorities as necessary. Uses time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading & loading of shipments using various powered industrial equipment.
  • Inspecting, counting, and examining all shipments against POs for damages and/or discrepancies.
  • Documenting all overages, shortages, and damages.
  • Ensuring stability of pallets by machine or hand wrapping.
  • Loading outbound shipments safely and securely.
  • Conveying items from receiving or staging areas to designated warehouse locations (Home, Overflow, or Bulk).
  • Consolidating like items in storage locations to maximize warehouse space.
  • Counting inventory to ensure product quantities are correct.
  • Receiving product in accordance with correct associated PO numbers.
  • Completing discrepancy forms for any overages, shortages, or damages.
  • Breaking down and separating product by specific item numbers.
  • Selecting various orders within the warehouse.
  • Stacking product on pallets for conveyance to outbound staging areas.
  • Checking pallets for errors and adjusting quantities.
  • Cleaning dock areas and assigned aisles in accordance with warehouse policy.
  • Complying with all Safety regulations and standards.
