About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role receives, stores, selects, and loads products within the warehouse. The primary duties involve operating material handling equipment, preparing customer orders, receiving and documenting inbound product, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations while adhering to safety and company policies.

Requirements

  • Experience in operating material handling equipment such as hand jacks, forklifts, reach’s, order pickers, and other various material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a manner consistent with the zero errors policy of the company.
  • Ability to maintain performance at or above productivity standards and service level targets established by the company.
  • Ability to operate within applicable safety guidelines as per government regulations, the company's safety manuals and/or stated safety policies, and common sense.
  • Ability to perform inspection of material handling equipment and maintain fluid levels.
  • Ability to perform work in a manner so as to prevent damage to company equipment, facilities and products.
  • Ability to ensure proper warehouse cleanliness is maintained at all times.
  • Ability to follow up on ALL customer request and questions to ensure appropriate response is made and customer is satisfied.
  • Ability to treat all customers (both internal and external) with respect, courtesy and kindness.
  • Ability to uphold and comply with policies and attitudes adopted by the company.
  • Ability to accept responsibility to THINK about how own actions and actions of my associates effect our customers and our company.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand jacks and/or Material Handling Equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers).
  • Operate material handling equipment up to 95% of the time.
  • Select and prepare customer orders accurately.
  • Receive and document inbound product.
  • Affix pallet tags and mark materials with identifying information.
  • Convey products and materials from receiving areas to storage or designated areas.
  • Place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to slot assignments.
  • Rotate stock to ensure oldest stock is most accessible for picking.
  • Read pick tickets, labels, or on-screen displays to assemble customer orders.
  • Load trailers with merchandise scheduled for shipment.
  • Record information to track activities.
  • Perform tasks to meet the company's zero errors policy.
  • Maintain performance at or above productivity standards and service level targets.
  • Operate within applicable safety guidelines.
  • Inspect material handling equipment and maintain fluid levels.
  • Prevent damage to company equipment, facilities, and products.
  • Ensure proper warehouse cleanliness.
