About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join the team as a Freight Unloader. The role involves unloading freight and ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5:30 a.m. and ending when work is finished, approximately 2 p.m. Compensation is hourly during training at $18 per hour, followed by a piecework pay structure based on freight volume unloaded, with stated earnings of $18–$24 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work various shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and clamp machines.

Responsibilities

Unload freight from delivery trucks and containers.
Sort and organize items for storage or distribution, including by destination and type.
Handle freight safely to prevent damage.
Transport freight to the appropriate storage area.
Operate equipment, including pallet jacks.
Ensure freight is properly labeled and stored.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily unloading goals.
