About The Position

The Warehouse Worker procures and assists customers with their material needs across the City. Responsibilities include purchasing, stock control, storage, distribution, and receipt of inventory. This position works four (4) 10-hour days. In the rare event of major system damage, this position would be required to work shifts to ensure parts are available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 7 to 11 months of related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
  • Ability to learn and utilize warehouse software (i.e. Storeroom)
  • Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
  • Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug, physical, and audio screenings

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a valid Forklift Certification within sixty (60) days of hire
  • Control inventory of construction and maintenance material
  • Utilize a forklift/reach truck frequently
  • Receive, store, catalogue, inventory, and safeguard materials
  • Maintain inventory software to preclude material shortages and overages
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe environment
  • Assist with purchasing materials
  • Assist with checking inventory accuracy
  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with designing and implementing work methods and procedures
