About The Position

Responsible for the daily receiving, stocking, and pulling of product for customer orders all in a timely and accurate manner. This role involves daily loading and unloading of delivery trucks, counting, sorting, and weighing incoming product to verify receipt. Products are stored in bins, racks, or on shelves according to identifying information. The position requires understanding and utilizing company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow, and reading pick sheets to accurately gather, palletize, and distribute items. Employees must meet assigned case picks per hour and accuracy goals, examine stock for quality, and maintain organized and clean work areas, ensuring product freshness through proper rotation. Orders are filled with care and diligence, and assembled on pallets safely for delivery. Accurate documentation of received or distributed products is essential, as is cleaning warehouse areas by sweeping and discarding trash and boxes. The role also participates in inventory cycles and receives training for the safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have or acquire forklift certification.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Daily loads or unloads delivery trucks.
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming product to verify receipt of items.
  • Stores products in bins, racks, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
  • Understands and utilizes company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Reads and efficiently works the customers pick sheets to accurately determine items to be gathered, palletized, and distributed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain case picks per hour and accuracy goals as assigned.
  • Examines stock to verify conformance to quality specifications and takes pride in products being distributed.
  • Keeps all locations neat, organized, and straightened, while maintaining the rotation of product to ensure freshness.
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and builds orders on pallets, effectively and safely for successful delivery.
  • Accurately documents the number of products or items received or distributed, or set aside due to damage or “out-of-date.”
  • Helps to clean up all warehouse areas worked during shift by sweeping, discarding trash, and empty boxes prior to end of shift.
  • Participates in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKU’s.
  • Participates and receives training certificate for proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
