About The Position

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-size flooring warehouse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Picks and stages daily jobs; preparing materials for daily jobs; accepts and properly stores inventory, and labels inventory. Ensures work orders, status updates, shipping/receiving confirmations, and material returns are entered into the company inventory system. Monitors inventory to ensure accuracy at all times. Processes freight trucks. Conducts monthly inventory counts, identifies discrepancies and reconciles differences. Organizes and maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse and facility, as well as the responsible outside area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience and training in warehouse operations
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping documents, and material instructions
• Ability to write correspondence and prepare other documents as needed
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Knowledge of computer workstations and peripheral equipment
• Experience with various computer applications to include: database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software
• Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English
• Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents
• Must be able to see near visually
• Ability to drive and maintain a driver’s license with personal car insurance
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
