About The Position

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $18.00; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $18.00 and $22.00. This role involves examining and packing products while maintaining critical production and quality standards, and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. The shift for this position is Monday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions (in English).
  • Valid lift truck license or able to attain certification.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and follows all safety regulations.
  • Performs daily inspection and care of equipment.
  • Follows all departmental SOPs.
  • Communicates, interacts and supports all departments.
  • Locates material into inventory per MEP.
  • Cycle counts and pulls material from inventory for work orders.
  • Loads, unloads, and relocates material as needed per inventory, production, shipping, and quality control requirements.
  • Completes all required paperwork/computer entry accurately and legibly.
  • Operates dock equipment, corrects or reports any issue identified.
  • Complies with the receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others).
  • Assists and supports all warehouse personnel.
  • Verifies, identifies, and inspects a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations.
  • Performs various inventory transactions using a barcode scanner and/or computer system.
  • Understands shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customer's special instructions.
  • Manages warehousing - moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space.
  • Troubleshoots any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues.
  • Responsible for ongoing development of a team member's environment.
  • Understands the correlation between production and warehouse finished goods, fixing any issues with pounds and scanning orders.
  • Performs quality control on pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, and other packaging materials received by shipping to prevent damaged product from being received.
  • Follows housekeeping requirements to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Performs other duties and/or assignments as assigned by supervisor.
